Bottle Cap Necklaces

Tuesday, March 13th at 6:30 p.m.               

Grades 7-12   Limit: 10 

Join your friends at Prairie Trails Library and make a one-of-a-kind Bottle Cap Necklace.  Bottle cap jewelry is so popular right now and you can make your own for yourself or a friend!   These funky necklaces are as fun to wear as they are to make.   Express yourself and impress your friends!!!  You may bring photos (small enough for a bottle cap) or we will provide all the supplies you’ll need. 

 

Learn to Crochet

Monday, March 19th  at 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Grades 7-12 - Limit 10

Learn the basic stitches -- chain (ch), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc),

and double crochet (dc).  Bring a pattern you’d like to make! For previous program participants. 

 

Teen Advisory Board

Monday, March 19th, 6:30-7:30 p.m. 

Calling all teens in 7th thru 12th grade! Share your thoughts on what the library can offer you in books, programs and more!  Snacks will be provided. 

Teens may receive service hours for participating. 

 

Hunger  Games Book Discussion

Tuesday, March 20th at 7:00 p.m.

Grades 7-12   Limit  20

Discuss one of the most popular books, “The Hunger Games!”  The movie comes out March 23rd so let’s hear what your predictions are.  Length:  40 minutes
 

Copies of the book will be available at the youth services desk.  Snacks provided.

 

Make Your Own Journal

Wednesday, April 11th at 1:00 p.m.

Grades 7 -12 Limit  10

Come over to Prairie Trails Library and celebrate National Library Week. 

As we celebrate reading, writing and authors, you can be your own author -

Make a one-of-a-kind writing journal and bookmark.  I’ll supply the stamps,

punches, paper, glue and ink and you decorate and personalize your journal

 to make it your very own.  We will also make a matching bookmark. 

You’ll be the envy of your friends and you can be the writer of your own story!!! 

Sign up early to save your seat. 

 

Teen Game Day

Saturday, April 21st at 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Grades 7-12

Hang out with friends at the library and enjoy food, fun and games! 

The library will have some of the newest Wii games to play

on our gaming system.

If you need any service hours for school or a special event please come into the library and see the youth services staff. 

 

The library does not accept court ordered volunteers.
