  • Reading Digitally: How to Access eBooks Using Library Resources

    Registration is required.  This program is limited to 10 PTPLD participants. Patrons may register one guest. 
     
    Discover how to read electronic books and magazines using a web browser or by downloading them to your     mobile device! A Prairie Trails Public   Library District card is required for this class in order to log in to the            applications. Attendees are             encouraged to bring their own         devices, such as Kindles, tablets, iPads, and/or mobile phones— however, laptops will be provided for participants if necessary
  • Introduction to Facebook

    Registration is required.  This program is limited to 10 PTPLD participants. Patrons may register one guest. This class will provide a basic overview of Facebook. Topics     include the following: what Facebook is used for, how to create an account, filling out profile information, and making a post. If you would like to use the library’s computers for this virtual program, please arrive at least ten minutes prior to the program to log on.
  • Resource Spotlight: Transparent Language

    Registration is required. This program is limited to 10 PTPLD participants. Patrons may register one guest. Transparent language offers the opportunity to learn over 100 languages online or using a mobile device! With typing        activities, speaking practice, downloadable audio files, and many other easy-to-to use features, this platform allows users to learn a new language at their own pace. All you need is a Prairie Trails Public Library District card to access it!
