Public Food Pantry
As of August 2022, PTPLD has a publicly available food pantry! Please read below for more information on how you can utilize this new service.
Where?
In the library entryway vestibule.
When?
During the library's open hours: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Who?
The food pantry can be used by anyone who needs it. We will not monitor who takes from or gives to the pantry. We encourage those who have something to give to please do so. We also encourage anyone who is in need to take non-perishable food items and toiletries from the pantry.
What?
The food pantry will be stocked with non-perishable food items and toiletries. These items may include (but are not limited to):
Canned meat, fish, fruit, and vegetables
Canned soup
Breakfast cereal or dry oats
Dry or canned beans
Pasta/noodles
Rice
Flour
Sugar, herbs & spices
Condiments
Cooking oil
Baby food & formula
Powdered/canned milk
Ramen noodles
Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
Soap (dish, hand, or body soap)
Shampoo
Lotion
Laundry Detergent
Deodorant
Hygiene supplies (such as toilet paper or feminine hygiene products)
At this time, we cannot accept foods or items that need to be refrigerated or frozen. We can also not accept items in glass jars or containers.
