Library cards are free to all residents of Burbank, Illinois and persons living within Nottingham Park, Illinois. You may use your Prairie Trails Public Library card at any of the over one hundred SWAN libraries. Your card also gives you access to materials only available through the library web site. Library cards are valid for 3 years.

Apply for a Library Card
You may apply for a library card at the library. Your card will be active immediately. You or your legal guardian must present photo identification verifying residence at the library's Circulation Department to complete the registration process.

If you are over 18 years of age, visit the library's Circulation Department and present photo identification verifying your name and Burbank or Nottingham Park address.

If you are under 18 years of age, your legal guardian must present photo identification verifying their name and Burbank or Nottingham Park address at the library's Circulation Department to complete the registration process and receive a permanent library card number for a minor's library card.
Local Teacher Cards
Teachers who are employed by a school within the district can get a library card issued for the period of one school year. Teachers must provide proof of employment and proof of address to receive a card. Materials are for classroom use only (not for personal use). Teachers are responsible for all materials checked out. Printed Materials may be checked out for four weeks. Teachers are responsible for all charges accrued on their card, including those for damaged or lost materials.
Teacher Cards may not be used for interlibrary loan requests/checkouts. Only items owned by Prairie Trails Public Library District may be checked out to a Teacher Card.
Proof of employment includes: Current school or childcare pay stub; Letter on school letterhead from school administrator or childcare director; or copy of current Illinois State Board of Education Homeschooling Registration form.
How to get a library card:
